OBDC MEMBERSHIP Membership in the Oregon Ballroom Dance Club is an exciting way to be involved in the ballroom dance scene. There are no fees, but members are expected to put in time and effort by helping at dances, workshops, and other OBDC activities. The benefits of being a member of the club include free admittance to the Friday Night Dances, Formals, and Workshops; discounts on dance practice sessions where advanced steps and new dances are taught; and a vote in how things are to be run. Activities in which members participate include acting as DJ for the Friday night dances, setting up for the dances, decorating for formals, acting as a club officer, helping with flyers, and other such activities. For the specific guidelines for attaining or maintaining a membership, check the Current Membership Policy. The best way to start out, of course, is to attend an OBDC
meeting. During the school year we have meetings every Monday at 6:00pm
in the EMU in Century Room E. |
