U.S. News and World Report 2005–6 ranks the UO College of Education faculty the third most productive educational researchers in the country, rates the college's graduate program sixth among public institutions, and calls the UO special education program the third best in the nation. Faculty members work closely with students, providing mentorship and practical experience. COE faculty efforts impact schools and communities around Oregon and across the nation through an alliance of nationally prominent centers, institutes, and affiliated research and outreach units.
