The International Student Lounge is a place for every student to get to know people from all over the world. The University of Oregon is recognized as a leader in international programs by the American Council on Education. During fall term 2006, 1,173 international students from 85 countries enrolled at the UO and, during the 2005Ð6 academic year, 941 UO students studied overseas. AHA International, a leader in study abroad programs, merged with the UO in 2003, providing exceptional opportunities for students and faculty members in more than 50 countries worldwide. This constant interchange of culture, language, diversity, and ideology provides the opportunity for a wide range of experiences.
