This is the flash file for the "Fortune Cookie" project. I took great liberties with this project.
I was inspired by the idea of receiving a fortune, and decided to make an oracle type application.
The result I like to call, The Yoda 8Ball.
This was pretty complex, especially with my lack of
experience with Flash and PHP. In the end, what you get is to ask Yoda a question, and he
answers from a pool of possibilities. Your name and question is then written to a text file,
and loaded back in. Simple to do within Flash, but I wanted all the questions everybody asked,
hence the PHP part. I've also had to host elsewhere, as I couldn't get PHP to work through the
university server.
I've also stuffed all the source files and they are available in regular Flash MX format this time.
Also note that I've been having some problems with Safari, mostly on OS X Jaguar. It works
perfectly fine in Firefox and Internet Explore. If anyone has any ideas why, pleas email me:
