Barndance

Barndance is an annual tradition among Greek houses. Alpha Chis rent out a barn to dance the night away. We come equipped with cowboy hats and boots. Barndance is always full of great memories.

Winter Themed Function

Every winter term, Alpha Chis vote on a function theme. Last year, it was James Bond and Bond Girls. The year before the theme was pirates. Nothing cures the rainy winter blues of winter like our winter function.

Spring Formal

When the weather gets hot, the Alpha Chis know it is time to pull out the formal wear. Spring formal is always a great time to have fun with our sisters before the end of the school year.

Philanthrophy and Volunteering

Philanthrophy:

Every spring, Alpha Chi Omega's Alpha Kappa chapter hosts a softball tournament. Recently, Alpha Chi Omega has turned the softball tournament into a huge event involving a home-run derby and barbeque along with the help of the men of Sigma Alpha Epislon. The new event is called Diamond Days. All the sororoties and faternities compete on co-ed teams to raise money for Womenspace. Womenspace is an organization that provides resources to women and their children who are victims of domestic violence. Alpha Chi Omega is always looking for different ways to educate the public on domestic violence and raise money for Womenspace in addition to the annual softball tournament.

Volunteering:

Alpha Chi Omega values giving back to the community. We volunteer at least five hours per term but many Alpha Chis choose to do more.

Other Philanthropies:

Alpha Chi Omega is an active particpant in all other Greek philantrhophies on campus. We believe it to very important to help give back to the community and help other philantrhophies other than just our own.
