Work with the Multicultural Center (MCC) on the implementation
of curriculum changes and to properly cover fundamental themes of race,
gender, and non-European issues.
Serve as an MCC board member and attend regular board
meetings.
Advise the ASUO President and Vice President on multicultural
issues.
Serve as liaison to ALL programs who have multicultural
issues that include, but are not limited to: ethnic unions; the Women's
Center; the Jewish Student Union; the Muslim Student Association; the YWCA;
the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender Alliance; and other culturally oriented
ASUO programs.
Initiate student Affirmative Action audits for student
programs.
Work on strengthening the Oregon Students of Color
Coalition.
Participate on ASUO team campaigns/projects.
Member of the ASUO Diversity Team which includes the
International Student Advocate, The Recruitment & Retention Coordinator
and the Non-Traditional Student Advocate.
