Short-term   (by sept 13th or so)
Finish a proposal for the Diversity institute which will include
    a) a case statement about what is out there
        what isn't out there
What we should try and create here
What possilbe funding sources are available
It will have three main parts the first being the summary of my findings a
proposal or mission statement and the last part will deal with funding and
grants

    B) connect with anyone who will play a part in the creation and help to
connect them to everyone else so confusion can be eliminated and a cohesive
picture with everyones imput will arise.

Long term
    A) See through the creation of the institute hopefully within three to
five years (that is just my guess I really don't know how long these things
take)

    B) Spend the next year helping to transition this project from a proposal
into a work in progress where the main goal will be finding  funding and
securing a physical space on campus. Also within the next yeart I want to
slowly create a clearer picture of the specifics like:  Size, staff # and
types, activities, research and internship possibilities, the relationship
between this center and the rest of the community, and where will it fit in
administratively
