Arnoldo Garcia is the Organizing Director for the Urban Habitat Program.
Before coming to Urban Habitat, Arnoldo was the Projects Director for EDGE:
The Alliance of Ethnic and Environmental Organizations and organized EDGE's
1995 statewide conference, "California Today Facing the Challenges of the
21st Century: Environmental Justice, Population, and the New Majority of
Color." For many years he was the Resource Coordinator of the National
Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights and has a long history of activism
in the U.S. Latino community as a writer, artist, musician, and organizer.
Arnoldo currently serves on the National Environmental Justice Advisory
Council (NEJAC), a federal advisory committee to the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency, and is the chair of NEJAC's International Subcommittee.
