There will be a meeting held during the first week of Spring Term that will be specifically geared towards members who are interested in becoming new officers. Even if you do not plan to run for office, we encourage all members to attend.
Elections are coming soon! And it’s easy to do! Note: Elections are for terms beginning May 1 and ending at the end of winter term 2008. Please do not run unless you intend to attend at least Fall and Winter term of next year. Please download and read the following descriptions of the Executive Committee roles. Duties of Chapter Officers (31.8 KB) PDF If you are interested in running for any of the positions (you can run for more than one), print out a copy of the GK Officer Application (29.6 KB) PDF and fill it out. Submit application to Amy Nuetzman (72 PLC) by 5:00pm April 13. You only need to submit one application, even if you are running for multiple positions. Come to the elections meeting on April 17th and tell us why you want to be a part of the Exec. Vote! We will conduct voting via Blackboard beginning April 18th and closing April 27th. We will announce the winners on April 30th. Please check back for times and locations of meetings, we will also notify all members via email once a location and time is determined. Student Visions - The UO Chapter of Golden Key has been presented with a great opportunity by Dr. Elena Hillier, a GK Alumni. Hillier is the CEO of Student Visions, a program that brings young people from middle school and high schools around the globe to learn together in Oregon and discuss on international peace issues. Chapter Scholarship Deadline Extended - Due to a lack of applications, we are extending the application deadline for the UO Chapter Scholarships for Juniors and Seniors to April 13, 2007.  - One Junior and one Senior will be selected to recieve at least $100 a piece. - A third scholarship may be awarded if we have sufficient funds and qualified applicants.  Please download the GKChapter Scholarship Form (29.4 KB) PDF and return your completed application to Amy Nuetzman in 72 PLC by 5pm on April 13th.
