Welcome
to the University of Oregon Marching Band. The Oregon Marching Band
(OMB) serves as the musical representative of University of Oregon
(U of O) spirit at every home and selected away football games during
the football season. The band combines exciting musical arrangements,
contemporary show design, and outstanding visual routines into a
truly spectacular halftime show. The OMB is made up of students
from virtually every department, school, and college of the university,
and has traveled in recent years to the Fiesta Bowl, Holiday Bowl,
Sun Bowl, Rose Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl, and Aloha Bowl. The OMB has
a professional staff as well as many highly-involved student leaders
who put together 3-4 contemporary corps-style showseach season.
The OMB rehearses in Autzen Stadium, Moshofsky Center, and on the
U of O campus. Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, and Guard members interested
in the OMB are expected to be competent in their area, but no formal
"cut" audition (other than part placement) is required
(barring unforeseen changes in future enrollment.) Placement in
the OMB is secured by a willingness to work hard, attend rehearsals
and performances, and have fun!
