How Performance Dates are Selected
- A Board member, who isn't applying to direct that term, handles the drawing.
- For every director whose proposal application has been accepted by the Board, one lottery slip will be placed in the bedpan of justice.
- Each lottery slip will be numbered.
- Each director draws a lottery slip out of the bedpan.
- The director who draws the lowest number gets first pick of the available production dates for the upcoming term.
- Those interested can share a directing slot in the lottery with any other creative genius or genii, perhaps presenting two plays with similar themes or concepts, etc., but the total running time must be under the 90 minute limit. In the lottery, each of you gets to draw a number. Then you choose your slot together based on the lowest number drawn amongst yourselves.
- If you don't get a spot in the lottery, no worries! In the next lottery your chances double. You'll get to draw twice the next term and if you still don't get it, you get to draw four
times in the next term's lottery. But wait, that's not all! If you still don’t get a slot, you'll draw eight, that's right, eight times in the next lottery. If you still don't get a Pocket production slot...damn, dude...we'll probably just give you one.
