ACTORS: If you're interested in acting in a Pocket production, keep your eye the bulletin boards in the "green room," located in the basement of Villard Hall and the Theatre Arts notice board on the first floor. Announcements are posted there regularly, particularly towards the beginning of each term as directors start gearing up for their productions.
DESIGNERS: Designing requires a slightly more complicated process. You have to be accepted as a designer by the director of a Pocket show. Fortunately, directors are always looking for good designers, so your skill or desire to learn is almost certain to be well received. Either directly contact one of the season’s directors or notify any Pocket Board Officer in order to negotiate concepts and responsibilities.
DIRECTORS: If you're interested in directing a Pocket Playhouse production, you'll need to submit a proposal to the Pocket the quarter prior to your project. The application process is easy, but you'll want to be thorough so that your project is not passed by in the screening process. Click here for the complete list of requirements.
You can download the necessary Director's Proposal in PDF format here or pick one up from the aforementioned "Green Room" in Villard Hall. Once your application has been completed and accepted by the board, you will have the opportunity to enter the Pocket lottery, where you will compete with other directors to determine the performance date of your production. Read an overview of the process.
