Josh Lupton—

Anna Dyukareva— Hello, I am the co-president for the 09-10 school year. I am a senior with a major in human physiology and a minor in business.I am planning on graduating in June '10 and then do a MBA program and take my time to apply to medical and D.O. programs. I work in a biology lab on campus (Doe Lab) where i enjoy spending long hours with drosophila flies. In my free time I like to go snowboarding, read, watch The Office and volunteer at Lane Rural Fire Rescue as FF/EMT-B. I am looking forward to working with the new board this year to improve the club and bring it to its highest potential. Feel free to contact me if you have any question about the club or any premed stuff!

Thomas Long—

Srdjan Kamenko— Hello! My name is Srdjan Kamenko, and I am a sophmore at the University of Oregon. I am a Biology and Chemistry major. I look forward to my second year of being involved with the Asklepiads Pre-Med club. As a first time treasurer, part of my job is to make sure the club has sufficient funds to carry out all of its weekly activities and that the allocation of these funds be done intelligently to maximize student benefit. I plan on volunteering at White Bird Clinic or Volunteers in Medicine and work in the Kimmel research lab in the UO Institute of Biology. My medical objective is to one day become a radiologist with various specialties of which I am not yet sure of. When I am not doing academic-related work, I enjoy playing soccer, going to the gym, and traveling. I'm looking forward to another year with the UO Asklepiads, and please let me know if you have any questions and/or concerns about anything club or school related!

Anna Berenbeym— Hi there! My name is Anna Berenbeym and I'm one of the activities co-coordinators this year. I am from Portland, OR and a sophomore studying Biology. In my spare time I love playing tennis, watching funny movies, and spending time with my friends. I love to travel and explore new places too - there's so much to see in the world!! I'm very excited for this year, the events we will have, and the future of our club! Please feel free to e-mail me at any time at berenbey@uoregon.edu.

Marianne Henry— I'm from Portland, OR and went to Lincoln High School. Now I'm a sophomore here at the university and am excited for my first year as an activities coordinator. I'm a biology major with possible minors in Spanish or French. This is also my second year in the Clark Honors College. I have been interested in science since middle school, but I decided wanted to be a doctor in high school when I shadowed an anesthesiologist. I saw four surgeries that day and fell in love. Some of my other interests are running and during the winter I love to run. Please feel free to email Anna Berenbeym or myself about any fundraisers or Asklepiad events.

Kelli Stewart— Hi, my name is Kelli Stewart and I am the Asklepiads Public Relations Chair for 2009-2010. I am responsible for spreading the word about our club and posting flyers and/or posters around campus, updating students about any big events or guest speakers that we will be having this year. Most of the club notifications will be posted on boards in the main science buildings (i.e. Science Library, Columbia, Willamette, Klamath, etc.), so be sure to look out for those throughout the year!
A little about myself, I am a junior and a Human Physiology major. Right now I am taking Organic chemistry and Human anatomy, as well as some other general ed requirements.I am also working part-time in the University Health Center. My professional goal is to build a career in the medical field, but I have not yet declared what specialty. I have had the amazing opportunity to shadow an orthopedic physician, Dr. Jewett at Slocum Orthopedics, during my spring term this past year, as well spending my summer volunteering at the San Joaquin General County Hospital in Stockton, California. I experienced many eye-opening moments and got to see what a surgical resident's everyday life is like in the hospital around the clock! So I know what I am getting myself into and I embrace the challenge. We want to welcome you to come join us and embrace the challenge also!

Verni Logendran— Hello! My name is Verni Logendran, and I am a senior at the University of Oregon. I am a Biology major and student in the Clark Honors College. I look forward to my third year of being involved with the Asklepiads preceptorship program. As the preceptorship chair, part of my duties is to reach out to the medical interests of club members and make contacts with physicians and surgeons in the community. I volunteer at Sacred Heart Medical Center in the Emergency Department and work in the Herman research lab in the UO Institute of Molecular Biology. Although my career objective is medicine, I am still unsure whether I want to be a primary care physician or specialize in surgery. When I am not doing academic-related work, I enjoy playing Ultimate Frisbee, traveling the world, and exploring the outdoors. I'm looking forward to another year with the UO Asklepiads, and please let me know if you have any questions about the preceptorships!

Elisabeth Barrar— Hello! My name is Elisabeth Barrar. I am a sophomore at the University of Oregon. I am majoring in Human Physiology. I’m new to Asklepiads this year, but I am very excited to be involved with such a great club! I am from Corvallis, Oregon (beaver nation), but I have clearly made a good decision to move down to Eugene. This summer I got the opportunity to job shadow a family medicine/ob/gyn doctor. I thoroughly enjoy being challenged, working out, spending time with my friends and meeting new people. I look forward to work with you as we make our dreams come true on the path to success in the medical field!
