Fall term 2011!!!

First meeting- Voulenteer opportunities and our pre-med advisor came to talk to us! Don't miss the next meeting on the 17th!

Third meeting winter term 2011.

We had 3 fourth year students from OHSU come and talk with us about all things pre-med and medical school. Big thanks to them for coming and sharing great information and answering all our question!

Second meeting winter term 2011.

Dr. Ray Englander, a neurologist, came and had a great presentation off what neurology is all about. Thanks Dr. Englander!

First meeting winter term 2011.

Dr. Katie Swank, emergency medicine, came and told us all about her life as a doctor and her day to day routine. She answered so great questiosn! Thank you Dr. Swank!

Final meeting of Fall term 2010.

11/16 Dr. Craig J. Davidson from the University Health Center can and talked about his path to his current job, how he ended up becoming a MD, and answered questions. Thank you Dr. Davidson! To contact Dr. Davidson go to the health center website.

We have voted and decided on sweat shits. They will be availble for order winter term. They will be ~ $25 depending on how many people order them.

Second meeting. 10/19

Volunteers in Medicine and HIV Alliance came and told us some great info about volunteer opportunities there. If you would like to volunteer or find out more about volunteering at these places looking under the opportunities page for more resources and information.

Chris Traver from Peace Health with Sacred Heart Medical Center came and told us about some great opportunities to shadow a physician. If interested go to the Peace Health website in the opportunities page.

Jenni Van Wyk, one of three pre-med advisors at the UO, came and shared useful information for all pre-meds. To set up a meeting with Jenni, call 541-346-3221, you cannot set up an appointment by e-mailing her.

Kaplan came and talked about their MCAT prep courses. I the future we will be offering a half off MCAT prep course from Kaplan. Come to future meetings to learn more about them.
