Internship
Requirements
When you enroll in
ENG 413 or ENG 513, you must also enroll in ENG 404/604, the required
internship portion of the literacy class.
ENG
404/604 allows
you a variable credit option.
…
Every
1 credit you
register for requires 30 hours of
internship (3 hours per week).
o
Registering
for 2 credits
requires
60 hours, and so on.
Once you have
registered for ENG 413/513 and ENG 404/604, you should begin making
arrangements for your internship site.
Note: many require
applications & background check; these may take some time to
process,
so be sure to initiate the process as soon as possible.
The
following site
list includes organizations that we have contacted and made intern
arrangements
with. It is not an exhaustive
list, and you should feel free to work with other sites if they meet
the
criteria listed below; if you choose
a site not on the list, it's a good idea
to run the site by one of us
before finalizing your plans.
We have
compiled a
list of organizations and schools who would love volunteers. It is your responsibility to contact
them and set up your own internship.
