Editorial Guidelines

Oregon Advcoate

A publication of the University of Oregon Future Lawyers Association



All submissions to The Oregon Advocate will be judged on the following criteria:

  1. Subject matter: Is the issue discussed relevant to the study of the law?
  2. Timeliness: Does the article discuss a timely issue before the Court?
  3. Appropriateness: Is the article appropriate in its style and language?
  4. Length: Articles and case notes should be at least 10 pages double-spaced. Book Reviews should be at least 5 pages double-spaced.

Priority will be given to undergraduates.



These guidelines are effective 6/2/00. Other guidelines may be forthcoming. Any articles sent in a postmarked envelope prior to the new effective date of future guidelines will not be responsible to the new guidelines. However, the editorial staff reserves the right to make any changes necessary to make any articles received fit within the new guidelines.
