This is us at around 6:30am on the very first day. Kind of a wired bunch, don't you think?! From left to right, let me introduce the huge delegation from the University of Oregon; Jon, Kai, Christina, Dan, and Teren. I had to draw in Teren's eyes, since he had to blink when the camera was taking the picture....geesh, some people. :-) The food wasn't bad, and we still had about 7 hours to go.
Lunch...This is a fine establishment, that our delegate from the area recommended (Jon...the Californian). Wasn't bad food...well, wait...it actually was just alright. I think Jon enjoyed the breakfast muffin too much for his or our own good. We left with our bellies half full and a bill that reflected the area from which it came. "To the hotel!" we hollered, as we jumped into the trusty old Chevy Blazer and drove off into the city...the heart of San Francisco. Our minds set on taking a shower and possibly a nap overwhelmed us as we hoped for no earthquakes and skirted across the Bay Bridge.
