"My goal was to be self-sufficient. I wanted to live so not to have bills to pay. I've worked since I was 18 years old to live like this. I've got these redwood trees I planted as seedlings and they're just huge now. I've learned livin' up there there's not much money in it, but it's nice just to have a place that belongs to you."  -kim
