The Asklepiads Pre-Med Society is a student-run organization at the University of Oregon open to all students interested in the medical field. The Asklepiads offers pre-med students with the opportunity to explore their career options by actively participating in health-related volunteering activities and preceptorships with health professionals in the local community. The Asklepiads allows for student insight on the MCAT and difficult science courses as well as medical school applications and interviews. The Asklepiads also provides pre-med students with the opportunity to meet one another and share their fears, experiences and aspirations about pursuing a career in the medical field. General meetings are held on Tuesdays on a bimonthly basis from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in WIL 110. At the meetings you will learn about leadership opportunities and useful resources available at the university to assist you in your progress toward earning acceptance into medical school.
We look forward to hearing from you soon! Your involvement is integral in making this organization a successful one. For more information about The Asklepiads, send your email to premed@uoregon.edu.
