To Promote Your Band:

1.) Send us your CD. Be sure to include contact information, a blurb about the band and the music, and it is preferable if you let us know which songs are airsafe (which songs have those naughty little words in them and which don’t!)

KWVA Radio, Attn: MD
P.O. Box 3157
University of Oregon
Eugene, Oregon 97403
2.) After sending your CD, give us about a week and check back in with us. Call (541) 346-4091 and ask for the Music Director or e-mail music@kwvaradio.org.

3.) Schedule an on air interview or performance by calling (541) 346-4091 or e-mailing marketing@kwvaradio.org. After your interview is confirmed, we ask that you help publicize it (on your web-profile, email lists, flyers, etc.) Feel free to bring some of your own personal favorite music so the listeners know what kind interests you. It is much better than just an impersonal interview. Have fun during your interview and be relaxed (if you can’t perform without them seeing you, how are you going to be onstage?!) Before you are allowed to be on air, you will be required to sign the KWVA Guest Release form. Ask the DJ interviewing you about this.

4.) Keep us informed on your upcoming shows so they can be announced on air and listed in our concert calendar. E-mail is the best way to get your shows listed. E-mail marketing@kwvaradio.org your show dates as far out as you have them booked. If you are interested in getting further promotion, you can set up a ticket trade with the station for on air promos.

5.) To set up on air promos, we need the following information:

  • Entire line up of bands
  • Venue
  • Age restrictions (all ages or 21+)
  • Date and time of show
  • Address of Venue
  • Contact information for:
    • Venue/show info for public for on air announcements.
    • Person who is responsible for arranging ticket trade.
  • Number of tickets that are being traded for promos. Please let us know the price to make an appropriate trade.
  • Preferred method to get guest list. (Fax #, e-mail address, phone #)
  • Guest list deadline to be submitted.
