KWVA has a new webmaster and regular updates will be
forthcoming. Look for current updates across the site.
11|15|05 (14:15)
The engineer has updated both RealAudio and MP3 KWVA stream links, and that the links on the KWVA home page will always be the best way to connect to KWVA live audio. If you have saved the KWVA RealAudio link in a favorites or bookmark folder, those old (direct "hard") links will not work anymore, please delete them, reconnect using the homepage links, then re-save the working streams to their favorites folder if desired. (The same goes for iTunes/Winamp/etc mp3 users. The old link needs to be deleted out of your mp3 program. Re-connect using the homepage's "MP3" link.) Chief Engineer Nathan Cox is always available via email to help people connect or trouble shoot KWVA audio connection issues.

Hello again, KWVA internet Listeners! We now have a 192kbps MP3 stream which is spiffier and all-around cooler than the old RealAudio stream (which is also still available). Here it is: (pls format or m3u format).
05|28|04 (17:07)
Hello, KWVA internet Listeners! KWVA has updated its streaming software and will require an update to the FREE RealOne player to continue to hear us. Upon clicking on the "LISTEN TO KWVA LIVE" link, you will be directed to RealOne's player update site. Simply follow the instructions to download the current player that will work with this new software. The player will look the same but the update will be there. It would be a good idea to delete any old RealOne player you may have on your computer. This update also includes the capability to stream to wireless handheld devices such as PDAs and
compatible
cell phones.

KWVA has been playing music like no one else for over ten years now but we have noticed that something is missing...
We tried "Smell the Music" and "Just Left of Jesus"
We thought about "It's not our fault you got herpes " and "At least we're not AM"
But we know we can do better, so KWVA is looking for a slogan and we need YOUR help! Listen to the station to hear our other ideas and submit your own to kwvaslogan@hotmail.com. You just might have the next KWVA slogan!

KWVA went before the Associated Students of the University
of Oregon (ASUO) Student Senate Wednesday, May 21st to request
funds for an educational upgrade to station technology. A sum of
$118,438
was granted to the station. Much of the equipment that KWVA operates
was donated to the station
ten years ago and it was old at that time. Additionally,
it is rapidly aging and in need of repair, some of which cannot be
repaired
or replaced. The funds that were granted will be used to replace much
of the aging equipment and help KWVA progress into the modern world
of
radio broadcasting. This is the first time KWVA has received
a large grant since its inception in the late 1980s.
