My volunteer work at Mission Mill Museum inspired me to begin graduate studies in the museum field. I began volunteering after returning from three years of teaching English in Taiwan in the summer of 2003.
At Mission Mill Museum I have worked in education programming. I helped to supervise and design activities for elementary school students, researched and wrote publications on the history of the buildings, and participated in living history performances including a World War I factory worker and pioneer mother.
I continue to volunteer for special events and hope to continue to develop more living history characters.
